How long do your products need to dry?

Q:

A:

Every installation will depend on the unique environmental conditions present at that time. However, CS2000™ typically takes 2-4 hours to fully penetrate, at which point foot traffic can resume. Creteseal® MAX applied in a single coating will generally require 4-5 hours to dry prior to installing a primer and topcoat. Please refer to the product-specific Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for more information.

Why should I use OTA™ concrete troweling aid instead of water or an evaporation retarder?

Q:

A:

When finishers add water to the surface “blessing the slab” it can increase the water cement ratio of the concrete and lower surface strength and durability. OTA™ creates a dense, durable surface during finishing, while facilitating an easier and more efficient troweling process.

Does CS2000™ require a vapor retarder / barrier underneath the slab?

Q:

A:

OBEX recommends compliance with all construction documents, specifications and industry standards. Vapor retarders are nearly always required to prevent ground-originated moisture intrusion from below the slab.

Can we buy products in small quantities?

Q:

A:

Yes. OBEX products are generally sold in 5-gallon containers designed for commercial and industrial applications. Please refer to the product-specific Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for more information. For project-specific pricing, please contact an OBEX representative.
